Restauranteurs: Social Media = Friend or Foe?

social media cubeThere is no denying that social media is playing a huge part in personal life however more recently is it impacting the choice potential customers are making to visit your place of business.  Reviews on sites such as Yelp, Urbanspoon, Google Places, etc, are having a huge impact on where people choose to dine.  

When is the last time you took a look at your reviews online?  When was the last time you actually responded as the business owner to positive or negative feedback?  In todays day and age we have the ability as business owners to use this feedback to drive our success.  

Are you taking the time each week to review your ratings and make sure you respond to the feedback you receive?  If not you are missing out on a golden opportunity to learn from your guests and make your business a great place for them to come back to.  This day and age social media and the web have become a necessity to survive and more importantly to thrive.
